The Special Court accepted in today's session the request for a shortened trial of the former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka, the former deputy Alqi Blako and the other seven defendants for the Elbasan incinerator.
So, in case they are found guilty by the court, they will benefit from a reduction of the sentence by one third. As for Etleva Kondi, the process will continue with ordinary judgment and the case was separated.
The next session at GJKKO where SPAK will present the claim for the defendants will take place on May 18 at 09:00.
According to SPAK, Lefter Koka, in the capacity of the former minister, received around 3.7 million euros in bribes from the three company administrators for the granting of the concession and the construction of the Elbasan incinerator.
