Gunter Held, 77, is one of hundreds of foreign citizens deceived into investing through call centers, who is asking Albanian justice to intervene to get back the 135,000 euros stolen.

Anila Hoxha learns from Top Channel that the elderly German man was one of 41 people defrauded in a genuine criminal scheme where, after SPAK investigations, Erion Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa were found guilty.

But while their assets were seized at the request of the prosecution, the elderly man from Germany, along with four other compatriots, ended up in civil court with the request that, in addition to the ongoing criminal process, they be guaranteed judicial compensation.

But their lawyer says he is running into problems after applying summary judgment to the defendants, putting his clients at risk of long waits in civil trials. This is just one of the problems.

Lawyer Arben Gramo says: "There is a legal problem, confiscation should be imposed on whom, on behalf of the state or my clients who have lost millions."

SPAK is currently processing five files, where hundreds of European citizens fell victim to Forex fraud and, according to the law, are victims of a criminal offense in criminal proceedings.

Meanwhile, in a second case, out of 120 Italian citizens defrauded so far, only 12 of them have opened the battle for compensation for the theft they suffered from the scheme.

In just one of the detected groups, it was found that they had caused 50 million euros in damage in several European countries through extortion.

Online fraud through "call centers" carried out by several Albanian and foreign groups, led to the creation of joint teams between SPAK and three countries from Spain, Germany and Italy, which also identified the locations of dozens of offices from which the fraud was carried out./ TCH
