The National Food Authority (AKU) has issued an urgent warning to all parents in Albania.

'Aptamil 1 Pronutra' infant milk is being immediately withdrawn from the market due to the presence of a dangerous substance.

During controls in Germany, the presence of a toxin (cereulide) coming from the bacterium Bacillus cereus was found in the product Aptamil 1 Pronutra (800g).

This bacterium can cause health problems, so an alert has been issued throughout the European Food Safety Network (RASFF).

The AKU informed citizens that if they have purchased this product, they should return it to the point of sale.
