The hearing for former minister Fatmir Mediu, who is accused of the "Gërdec" tragedy, has been postponed again.
In today's session, 5 experts were called, while the next session will be held on July 17 at 09:00.
In a communication to the media after the end of the session, the former minister said, among other things, that this has turned into an absurd process.
Mediu: I think that you also see that this has turned into an absurd process. We are deprived of the right to ask questions, we are deprived of the opportunity to prove the quality of experts.
As you heard, these are experts who are considered as witnesses for a scientific profile, when none of them has one as a profile.
Moreover, those that are raised as claims go to the point of absurdity. As you heard the prosecutor at the very end, "he said in the expert report there are 3 elements for which the minister is responsible".
And one of these is just paid from the tax when the experts themselves say that it is not a harm, the second has to do with the price commission where the minister has nothing to do with this and the third has to do with transport.
We were told to submit written questions tomorrow, the process requires us to debate, while we submit written questions and receive written answers. This is no longer a judicial debate, but it is an inquisitorial process, which seeks to take things for granted without making any argument.
