After the appointment of Ilir Proda as head of the State Police, the competition was also opened for police leaders in the 12 districts of the country.

This competition has aroused a lot of interest among tens of employees.

In this competition so far there are over 43 applicants who have submitted the documents for district leaders.

7 of the 12 current heads of the State Police have re-applied to hold the position of head of the Police.

The names of the current directors who have competed are:

Ardian Çipa, currently head of the police of Gjirokastra.

Alfred Elezaj , currently head of the police of Lezha.

Tonin Vocaj , currently head of the Tirana police.

Gjovalin Loka , currently head of the Korça Police.

Skender Hitaj , currently head of the Durrës police.

Ermal Muça , currently head of the Vlora Police

Lorenc Panganika , currently head of the Fier Police.

We recall that Ilir Proda was appointed General Director of the State Police after a competition process with more than 10 senior police leaders .
