The late evening hours will bring back intense rainfall in several regions of the country after flooding in the last two days due to bad weather.

According to the Institute of Geosciences, the situation remains alarming in Vjosa because rainfall will continue throughout Friday.

According to forecasts, temperatures will drop over the weekend, bringing snowfall to the north.

"It will be the regions of Vlora and Gjirokastra, where we are expected to have intense rainfall and locally it will go up to very intense, while in the regions of Shkodër, Korçë and Berat, rainfall is expected to be average and locally intense. In the rest of the regions, we expect rainfall to be average. In all regions, it will be accompanied by storms. Snow is expected at the weekend," said Anira Gjoni, IGJEO specialist.
