Today, photos of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj were published in the media and social networks, while he was in the GJKKO courtroom for confirmation of the measures.
It is unclear in what form the photos were taken and then released, as cameras, cell phones, and any other audio or video recording devices are prohibited indoors.
Regarding this, criminal expert Ervin Karamuço said that the suspicions are that the photos were leaked by employees. Therefore, according to him, SPAK should conduct an internal investigation, and it is easy to find out who leaked them, because the entire environment is equipped with cameras.
Karamuço's statement in Real Story:
They must have been issued by employees of that institution. It is forbidden to enter the "large complex" that also houses the court, the prosecutor's office, and the BKH in that glass building without handing in your cell phones, which have a drawer that you can hand in there.
The prosecutor may keep a cell phone in the courtroom. In addition to the cell phone, items that could be subject to wiretapping, large keys, metal objects, and so on, are not allowed. After you hand these over, you go through the control bridge, which is a metal detector control bridge. Only the security and order officers in the courtrooms where the trials are held, or the prosecutor, or I don't know, the judges, that is, public officials, can have this, it has nothing to do with specific persons even if they are present in the courtroom because they are not allowed to have cell phones inside these premises.
It is definitely an official because every civilian, every citizen is not allowed in. I think there should be an internal investigation because there are security cameras everywhere and it is very clear who the person is, from what position, where they entered and where they left, it is their internal matter that they should resolve because these similar cases create a very bad precedent.
