The New Year 2026 has begun with the constant stress of drivers and passengers on the country's roads.

There were kilometer-long queues, heavy traffic, and long waits today on the national Tirana-Elbasan axis.

As can be seen from the footage, the vehicles have created a long caravan on the exit segment from Elbasan.

The lack of proper infrastructure, police inaction, the end-of-year holidays, and the return of emigrants who move in and out in addition to visiting family members, are some of the causes of heavy traffic.
