The person in the photo is the late Anxhelo Ruçi, who passed away in a tragic accident in the early morning hours of January 1 on the Gjirokastër-Tepelena road.

The 27-year-old was the son of the police chief, Rami Ruçi, as well as the nephew of the former speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Gramoz Ruçi.

The accident that turned the celebration into a tragedy occurred when two vehicles collided.

The Volkswagen vehicle in which Klejdi Myftari, 24, and Anxhelo Ruci, 27, were traveling, both of whom lost their lives from their injuries, and the other Mercedes Benz vehicle in which citizens Martin Dulaj, 25, who died at the scene, and Arsida Demiri, 19, who was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized assistance.
