The two young men who died last night in a tragic road accident in Vignola, Italy, both lived in Marano sul Panaro, in the province of Modena. A third friend, who was traveling with them in the same car, was seriously injured.

Idris Kreshpaj, just 18 years old, was born in Pavullo and lived with his family in Marano. In the same building also lived Rida Sidrine, 24, of Moroccan origin, but resident of the hill town in the province of Modena. The two boys were neighbors and long-time friends, as reported by Resto del Carlino.

The accident happened at around 9pm on the road to Sassuolo, on a straight road near the intersection with via Beslan. According to an initial reconstruction, the car carrying the five boys, a Citroen C3, overturned several times before crashing into the fence of a house. The dynamics are still being determined, but initial findings suggest that no other vehicles were involved.

The most seriously injured boy, a twenty-year-old, is currently in intensive care at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna. Despite the doctors' efforts to stabilize his condition, the prognosis remains uncertain. The two other young men (17 and 23 years old) who were in the car were also injured, suffering fractures and bruises. After several hours in the emergency room of the Baggiovara hospital, they were released with a prognosis of 40 days each.

The municipality of Marano sul Panaro expresses its condolences for the tragedy: "Our thoughts - writes the municipal administration - go to the relatives, friends and all those affected by this tragedy that has taken the lives of young people. In this moment of great suffering and pain, we are close to the families and send our most heartfelt condolences."
