The Administrator of the Security Academy, Milton Nushi , has stated that as soon as the poisoning of 56 students at the Academy was ascertained, measures were taken to send them for treatment.
Nushi emphasizes that there are still no results regarding the findings that were made after the samples were sent to the laboratory.
"The problems were discovered in the afternoon and two or three hours after consuming lunch, we immediately took measures and transported the students to the QSUT. We have notified the AKU and Public Health institutions to come, see and analyze the causes. Nothing has been found yet because they have gone to the laboratory, we are waiting for the results to come out. The students are in good condition. They had stomachaches and vomiting. The company at the Security Academy has been operating for several years. The food comes in the form of catering and is distributed to the students," said Nushi.
The administrator added that there have never been such cases of poisoning and that the quality of the food has always been good.
He further denied speculation that the video circulating about a meal with worms is not real and is from the premises of the Security Academy.
"Vinegar is not consumed in our facilities, the video that has been circulating on social networks is not current, it may be years old, but in our facilities only oil and salt are consumed. Poisoning has never occurred, the food is very good. The menus used are according to the standards set by the relevant ministries. The quality is very good. Everything comes with certificates. We will wait to see the results to see what measures we will follow. Teaching continues normally, and so does the food. The company has blocked the product", said Administrator Nushi.
