The serious incident in Durrës , where the 19-year-old girl killed her father, has shocked Albania .

She shot him dead and then buried him in the backyard.

On February 13, her 25-year-old brother reported the disappearance of his father, Pëllumb Meta , to the police, where the investigation into this event began.

On February 17, the police discovered the victim's car parked on the road axis Shënavlash-Sektor Rinia , where from investigative actions, they discovered that Meta had not disappeared, but had been killed and buried in the backyard by his daughter, Hygerta Meta .

She has stated that she killed her father because he wanted to betroth her against her will.

It is suspected that other family members were aware of the crime, who may have helped to hide the crime by burying the 50-year-old in the backyard.

The 19-year-old admitted the crime, while emphasizing that the reason was the fact that her father, Pëllumb Meta , wanted to betroth her to a boy from her village, Shënvlash i Durrës, an immigrant.
