A 29-year-old Albanian was executed by firing squad in Girona, Spain. The victim is the citizen Endrit Sinaj, a well-known name in Albanian and Spanish justice.
It is known that he received a bullet in the abdomen on April 23 and died in the hospital. It is suspected that the perpetrator of the crime is also Albanian, as Sinaj was shot just a few days after his release from prison.
Local media reports that 29-year-old Endrit Sinaj was released on bail a few days ago, after being arrested together with a fellow countryman in an operation related to marijuana traffic based in Marbella. Sinaj was arrested in La Selva and the court in Blanes, which was then suspended in a court in Marbella, granted him temporary freedom, unlike his friend, who was jailed.
The Spanish police are investigating the murder of Endri Sinaj. On the first day, thanks to the license plate of the car captured by the cameras, they found the man who had left him in Trueta's emergency room: another Albanian boy. The latter explained that he had picked up the injured man on the side of the road, but did not provide any further information.
He was escorted to the police station and interrogated for a long time and even his house in Tordera was searched. . But it was not considered to be related to the crime and he was released and the following day the car, a Seat Córdoba, in which he had taken the victim to El Trueta, was returned to him. The man who moved the victim was not the owner of the vehicle.
The past in Albania
Endrit Sinaj also had unpaid accounts in Albania. Albanian media reports that he was part of the group of five people who were arrested in October 2020 in the city of Vlora. According to the chronicle, Sinaj and his colleagues, after checking their target with a drone, attacked a house wearing hoods, armed and pretending to be policemen. The owner of the house and his son got angry and to avoid the theft they confronted the intruders, who ended up running away. According to the Albanian press, the police, with a very quick and effective operation, managed to identify and arrest the five perpetrators of the failed assassination attempt on the apartment. They confiscated a Mercedes Benz vehicle, with which they went to the raided house, and a Nissan that was driven by one of the suspects at the time of the arrest. They also confiscated mobile phones and other evidence, but never found the weapon they had carried when they carried out the attack. The five young men were brought before the court and the court imprisoned three of the suspects (Alfred Shametajn, Ervin Dhima and Enerik Meçajn), while Endrit Sinaj and his companion Lulëzim Elmazaj gained temporary freedom with the obligation to appear before the court when it happened
