The police of Vlora have arrested a 48-year-old man, accused of attempting to traffic in narcotics. Citizen Kristian (Nikola) Skëndaj, a resident of Vlora, has been arrested in the context of the coded operation "Reset".

He was caught transporting in a "Chrysler" type vehicle 104 kilograms of cannabis divided into 10 packages.

"The Police Services, based on the information provided by the information intelligence, have located the suspect vehicle and have started following it. The driver of the vehicle, as soon as he noticed that he was being followed by the Police, tried to leave quickly, but after after a few minutes of pursuit, he was caught and stopped by the police services, in the village of Novosel.  

During the search of the "Chrysler" type vehicle, 10 packets of suspected cannabis narcotics were found in the trunk. with a total weight of 104 kilograms. The packages with cannabis were seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle and 1 mobile phone,"  the Police said in a statement.

The Blues of Vlora inform that in-depth investigations continue to identify other citizens involved in this criminal activity. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora, for further actions.
