57-year-old Ilirjan Xhani died today , who was burned yesterday evening inside a shack that served as a residence in the village of Çukë in Saranda.

He had third degree burns and today he went to the Trauma hospital for more specialized treatment, but he could not survive the injuries he received and died on the way without arriving in Tirana.

The body of the 57-year-old man was sent to Tirana for a forensic examination, according to the investigative request initiated by the scene in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances and determine the causes of the fire.

The serious event happened on Tuesday evening at around 10:15 p.m., in the place called "the former food court", in Çukë, Sarandë municipality, in an electrical-household warehouse, in the guard's cabin, where he was staying.
