An Albanian was found to have 40,000 undeclared pounds after a search by the London police, which were seized by the local authorities. It is about 54-year-old  Valentin Gjoni , residing in Chessington, London

He was in a car with two other people when he was stopped by Border Force officers traveling out of the UK through the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone.

He told officers they were traveling to Italy and then Albania and that there was no money in the vehicle, but after a search, they found more than £20,000 wrapped in aluminum foil to look like a "baguette" (French bread ), in a fresh bag.

More than £15,000 was also found hidden inside coat pockets and £5,000 placed inside a handbag.
