Neither the police nor the prosecution have yet an official version of the fate of Ervis Martinaj, despite the public request from Prime Minister Rama himself to "tell the Albanians what happened to him".
Until now, different versions of his fate have circulated in the media, where one talks about the capture and killing of Martinaj by opponents, while the other about a scenario from the "king of bets" himself, however, an official version is needed to give end of speculation.
Martinaj has been wanted by the police for several criminal offenses, but especially after the testimony of Nuredin Dumani that he had requested the murder of Indri Dokles against 500 thousand euros. However, according to a State Police document, he had earlier had a conflict with a person in Laç, beating and threatening him.

The police document gives Martinaj's general information and other data that identify him, but it does not indicate, for example, who was the person beaten by him in October 2021./abcnews
