Following the disappearance of a 48-year-old woman in Tropoja , who has been away from her apartment since July 22, it is suspected that a serious criminal incident is being hidden.

The 48-year-old woman with the initials N. Sh. is reported to have left her apartment after systematic violence by her husband, Imer Shpata .

It was the woman's relatives who filed a police report regarding her disappearance, while investigators suspect that we may be facing a serious criminal incident.

Police announcement:

"Crime Investigation Specialists at the Tropoja Police Station, after receiving information from relatives of citizen N. Sh. that she had left her husband's apartment and had lost contact with him, immediately organized the work to locate and find her. The investigations resulted in the 48-year-old woman being suspected of having left as a result of systematic violence by her husband," the police informed.

The Blues have arrested 58-year-old Imer Shpata, and at the moment of his arrest, two automatic firearms were found in his apartment in the village of Bujan, which were seized.

The weapons will be sent to the Institute of Scientific Police for further examination, to determine whether or not they were used in criminal events.
