Meanwhile, the investigative materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
We remind you that this is not the first fatal incident to occur at this construction site.
On January 17 of this year, another worker, Nusret Xhoka, 60, from Dibra, lost his life at around 9:20 PM after being hit by a forklift being driven by his colleague, Rrahman Sllamniku from Pristina.
Both worked for the construction company "2A Group".
During the airport's construction phases, other incidents were also recorded, with several workers injured, raising serious concerns about compliance with safety measures at work.
Earlier, various workers have protested, even blocking the entrance to the construction site due to regular delays in their payments.
The company that is carrying out the construction of the airport is "Mabco Constructions SA", owned by businessman Behgjet Pacolli.
The construction of the airport has also been opposed by local and international environmental organizations, which warn that the project is causing major damage to the Vjosa-Narta Lagoon protected area and its fragile ecosystems.
