The head of the Catholic Church, Archbishop Arjan Dodaj, in his Easter message called for turning to God and investing in things that have value for the future of a nation and not in facades.
"From the resurrection of Christ, the merciful father, gives us the opportunity for reconciliation and return. The invitation to return to God sounds even stronger. The human heart is made for beautiful and noble things. The first message and commitment not only of religion, but also of every Albanian institution must be in favor of the earliest and most necessary institution, which is the divine institution, of life and of the family."
He had a strong message about investing in families and especially young couples.
"We need to invest more in beauties, which generate the future, such as the family. Especially in young couples, because without young couples choosing to live and work in Albania, the 'demographic winter' that has marked our country will deepen dramatically and irreversibly. Let's learn from the mistakes of many Western countries and not accept those superficialities, and also see countries that are reacting to this winter."
According to Archbishop Arjan Dodajt, what is important is the promotion of working people and the recognition of merit.
"Let us come together then to promote the culture of honest work, which is the fruit of a man who no longer has his conscience buried. And let us make sure that Albania belongs to everyone with its diverse and amazing natural, spiritual, cultural, artistic, technological, archaeological and many other riches. Because in these years, not infrequently, for the benefit of a few, we have lost some treasures that will never be returned."
During the blessed days of Easter, believers, in addition to prayers, also blessed their food.
This year Catholic and Orthodox Easter fall on the same day.
