Four people have been arrested in Tirana after being caught red-handed in a bar. 

Two of them were caught with a significant amount of cocaine with the intent to sell, while two others did not report the crime.

The arrested are Armet Latifaj,  25, Gëzim Pashaj, 30, Petros Koronoias, 18, and Jastin Zaim , 18, the latter two being Greek citizens.

During the checks, 1 kg and 65 grams of cocaine, two " Benz " type vehicles, four mobile phones and a sum of money were seized , all suspected of having been obtained from criminal activity.

Police announcement:

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Twins" is being finalized by the Narcotics Investigation Section.

They were caught red-handed in a bar with a package of cocaine, 4 citizens were arrested.

1 kg and 65 grams of suspected cocaine, 2 "Benz" type vehicles, 4 mobile phones and a large amount of money were seized.

The services of the Narcotics Investigation Section, following successive operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, within the framework of a criminal proceeding pursued with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Twins".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were caught and arrested in flagrante delicto:
-AL, 25 years old, GP, 30 years old, PK, 18 years old and JZ, 18 years old.

The Police Services have located in a bar on “Myslym Shyri” street, citizens A. L and G. P, who were found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, which they are suspected of possessing with the intention of selling. While citizens P. K and J. Z, Greek citizens, have not reported the crime, friends of the 2 aforementioned arrested.

Further, the investigations have resulted in the citizens AL and GP using their “Benz” type vehicles, similar to each other, for the transportation and distribution of the narcotic substance, with the aim of confusing the Police.

The narcotics, along with the 2 vehicles, the cell phones of the arrested citizens, and a sum of money, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for further action.
