Two young men have been arrested by Tirana police after being accused of trafficking narcotics from the US to our country, through the mail, with the intention of selling them.

 Citizens Kevin Qorpasha , 24, and  Dion Hoxha,  22, both residents of Tirana, were arrested .

Police say the two young men were arrested after receiving a package containing 1 kg and 52 g of high-THC cannabis at a post office in Vora.

Police announcement:

Following intensive police actions, with a focus on cracking down on cases of trafficking in the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa with a high percentage of THC, from the USA, for the purpose of sale in our country, the Narcotics Investigation Section, under the direction of the Prosecution and in cooperation with the Special Operational Force, the Rinas Police Commissariat and the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch, finalized the operation "Package 5".

During the operation, citizens KQ, 24 years old, and DH, 22 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

"They were caught red-handed, immediately after receiving at a post office in Vora, a package containing 1 kg and 52 g of Cannabis with a high percentage of THC, trafficked from the USA, with the aim of selling in Albania ," the blue uniforms announced.

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Package 5" against the trafficking of narcotics from the US through the mail is being finalized.

They were caught by the Police, as soon as they received a package containing 1 kg and 52 g of Cannabis with a high percentage of THC, at a post office in Vora, 2 citizens were put in handcuffs.

The package with the narcotic substance is seized.
