The State Police announces that it has extradited two people convicted of drug trafficking to our country.

More specifically, citizen Zef Gjikolaj , 33 years old, was extradited from the Netherlands to Albania, after the Lezha court sentenced him to 7 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".

Also, the citizen Ergys Rushan , 37 years old, a resident of Korçë, was extradited from Greece to Albania, whom the Court of Appeal of Korçë has sentenced to 6 years in prison, for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics".

The blue uniforms also announce the extradition of a 40-year-old man from Albania to Italy, after the neighboring authorities sentenced him to 6 years in prison for drug trafficking. It is about the citizen Armant Beqiri , 40 years old, resident of Durrës.

Extradited from Greece and from the Netherlands, to Albania, 2 citizens declared internationally wanted.

Extradited from Albania to Italy, 1 other citizen declared internationally wanted.

All three extradited, convicted for criminal activity in the field of narcotics.

The specialists of the Interpol Tirana Interpol Office, within the framework of cooperation with their counterparts, for the localization, capture and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted, have extradited, at the entrance and exit of the RSH, 3 Albanian citizens declared internationally wanted.

- As a result of the cooperation with the Dutch counterparts, the internationally wanted citizen Zef Gjikolaj, 33 years old, was extradited from the Netherlands to Albania. The Court of the Lezhë Judicial District, with the decision dated 26.05.2017, has sentenced this citizen to 7 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", since on 11.12.2015, in cooperation with two other citizens , tried to sell 15.6 kg of cannabis sativa narcotic substance, in Mirdita.

-As a result of the cooperation with the Greek counterparts, the internationally wanted citizen Ergys Rushan, 37 years old, resident of Korçë, was extradited from Greece to Albania, whom the Court of Appeal of Korçë has sentenced to 6 years in prison, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".

-Also, as a result of the cooperation with the Italian counterparts, citizen Armant Beqiri, 40 years old, resident of Durrës, was extradited from Albania to Italy. This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Turin, Italy, sentenced him to 6 years and 10 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offenses of "Participation in a criminal organization" and "Trafficking in narcotics", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

The 2 citizens extradited to Albania were handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons.
