Journalist Anila Hoxha has commented on the arrest of Ervin Mata, who is considered one of the people involved in cocaine trafficking from Latin American countries to Europe.
Hoxha said that initially it is SPAK that will take the first steps for extradition. According to her, it should be seen whether our country has an extradition agreement with Brazil.
"What will SPAK do? The first step is taken with the Special Prosecution Office, because the latter has declared Ervin Mata wanted for cocaine trafficking in Europe. But it must be seen whether Albania has an extradition agreement with Brazil. It will be Brazil itself that will check Ervin Mata's cartel," said Hoxha.
The journalist also emphasized in her speech that it should be seen if Ervin Mata has problems in Brazil, will he face local justice. Further, Hoxha said that the Special Prosecution will compile the documents to initiate the extradition of Ervin Mata to our country.
"If Ervin Mata has problems with Brazil, then Brazil will decide whether Mata will face his justice and then extradite him to Albania. It is SPAK that takes the first step to initiate procedures for this citizen. It will be seen whether it will be done by extradition or by mutual agreement. In a matter of hours, SPAK will compile the documents to initiate the extradition of Ervin Mata", declared Hoxha./ Tch
