Donald Trump's order to suspend foreign aid has also affected the American OPDAT mission in Albania.

Voxnews.al exclusively learns that a good portion of the American experts from this mission who were stationed in Albanian institutions have left.

These are individuals and working groups that have provided their expertise in the field of lawmaking and law enforcement, and some of them have even worked with justice reform and vetting.

OPDAT's involvement with legal expertise in Albania is extensive, including justice institutions, especially special structures, the State Police and the Police Supervision Agency.

The experts were paid by the United States of America through the foreign assistance line for strengthening institutions and the rule of law in Albania.

But Donald Trump's order, which has suspended funding for this line for 90 days, has also suspended payments to experts.

Under these conditions, they have left Albanian institutions awaiting a final decision that will arrive from Washington.
