With a mountain of documents in hand, Valentina Lamaj speaks for the first time.
After the fraudulent project scandal with scholarships to the USA, which resulted in the Ministry of Education involved, with the email obtained by Top Channel that the so-called Klea Rama sent to the deputy minister, the English teacher at the "Qemal Stafa" gymnasin elected by voting as the cabinet director of the project "lets talk about US", decided to tell her truth.
While he has held unrighteously as resulted from the investigation, the weight of responsibility before the arrest of the 20-year-old author who pretended to be the prime minister's granddaughter.
"I was at work every day and I had no criminal proceedings at any point. My data has been revealed, the Ministry of Education must speak. Who protects us? They had to protect me from the beginning. The ministry has been on a project step by step. The ministry has checked us in assessments. Did you know that in one zoom session there were 15 people monitoring how this process was conducted?
I have an obligation to parents, to the students. They need to come out and tell us what the truth is. We were 68 coordinators and we all expected gratitude, we're so tired. All students took time out of state maturity. Who bears their cost? Who bears the cost of this psychological distress?" said Valentina Lamaj, a teacher.
The project, ordered to start in September, was implemented in 68 gymnasts from north to south Albania, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, where hundreds of students were engaged during a school year. An overtime job worthless, as the project turned out to be a lie.
"How could I and the students doubt when the teachers after the assessment received certificates from the minister with the seal? The project was supervised all the time. The head of the Zebra has thrown the lot live in the zoom. It's commissions that have been set up. These are reports coming from the Ministry of Education!" said Lamaj.
The false identity created in the name Of Klea Rama as the prime minister's granddaughter was a great pressure to realize the project, says teacher Lamaj. He also reveals the inability to communicate verbally with him.
"Our only communication was via WhatsApp. We have never heard a voice. Even when I had to call him on WhatsApp, because we didn't have a number, he never answered. But I always have 68 coordinators all over Albania, we worked overtime, unpaid work.
I have asked for my resignation but I have not been accepted. Having that position of "protected" name made many take it for good and say, "You know who it is? Where does this project come from? "A soap bubble at the end," the teacher said.
"Let's talk about US" began as an informative project for American universities, the English teacher further says, but the stages were added to the exam format on digital zoom platforms for selecting the best graduates,
"Students competed with projects, ran a competition for better essays, and then zoomed in state maturity exams to choose which of the universities to study at," she said.
This scandal seems to have not yet affected the Ministry of Education, who continue to silence...
