A serious incident was recorded today at around 2:00 PM in the area known as Qafë Burrel, where a massive chromium stockpile that was accumulating from the processing of this mineral collapsed, taking with it a crane with which a worker was working.

Police are continuing their search to find him.

"Around 14:00, in the Burrel pass, at the chrome enrichment factory, rented from a Chinese company, citizen AB, while working with a dump truck to erode a reservoir, is suspected of a landslide that collapsed and, as a result, buried the worker along with the work vehicle. Police and emergency services are working to find citizen AB. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify and document the circumstances of this event," the police statement said.

The collapse of the stockpile also ruptured a water reservoir that had been created by the operation of the poor chrome processing factory.

The factory had been rented for several months by two Chinese citizens.
