A tragic accident was registered this evening in Gjirokastër, where a 12-year-old child lost his life.

Official sources inform that the citizen Estian Dinaj, 24 years old (an employee of the border police in Gjirokastër), a resident of the village of Valare, while driving his private "Benz" type vehicle, had an accident with the citizen EI, 12 years old, a pedestrian, who as a result has passed away.

The event happened around 18:50, on the Valare-Gjirokastër rural axis. The driver of the vehicle, Estian Dinaj, who is a border policeman, was escorted to the police premises in Gjirokastër.

The police announce that an investigative team has been set up under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastër Judicial District Court and with Judicial Police Officers of the AMP, to investigate the circumstances of the accident resulting in the death of the child.

It is suspected that the cause was the high speed exceeding the permitted rates. Estian Dinaj is the person you see in the following photos.
