A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in Delvina, where a 12-year-old girl was urgently transported to Tirana after consuming a quantity of "Deparkin" tablets, a medication commonly used by people suffering from Parkinson's disease.
The minor was initially taken by her family to the emergency room of the Saranda hospital in serious condition. According to the family's testimony, they found the girl unconscious in the apartment and immediately transported her for medical assistance.
Doctors at the Saranda hospital confirmed that after initial tests, it turned out that the 12-year-old had consumed some tablets belonging to a family member. After immediate interventions, due to her serious condition and minor age, it was decided that the patient be transported by helicopter to Tirana for specialized treatment.
Her health condition remains unclear, while doctors continue to follow the case to determine the exact amount of medication consumed and the effects it may have caused on the body.
