The daughter of the sports journalist, Dëfrim Mesathani, is fighting with her life as a result of a serious illness.

She has been hospitalized for weeks in one of Berlin's hospitals in Germany while being treated by an Albanian cardio surgeon.

Through a post on social networks, Methasani thanked everyone for their support while expressing the belief that her daughter will manage to beat the disease.

Journalist's post:

From the Berlin hospital where my eldest daughter Luna has been for treatment for a long time, I greet you all and thank you for being my great and extraordinary support, calming my soul a little and easing my problem.

I cannot find the right word to express what my family, my relatives, but also the many friends and comrades I have inside and outside the country deserve.

Your prayers, support in all forms, sms and endless phone calls, have been my spiritual food, strength, solidarity, vitality and our weapon, to fight with the serious illness, where thanks to God and the skilled doctors, we hope we will make it.

In closing, a dedication of gratitude to Dr. Endri Abazi, the boy from Shkodran who works in this hospital as a cardio surgeon and who represents Albania in Germany with dignity, but who became an open door for me as well, despite the fact that the girl's illness was not related to his department.

We are lucky for the professionals we have, because they have de facto become a promotional factor for our country, outside of Albania.

Also, heartfelt words for my dear and precious niece Nerilda Meda, who did everything for Luna, but also some Albanians from Berlin, who are with me in this difficult period. Thanks, respect and eternal gratitude to each and every one of YOU!
