A 27-year-old man has died in Vlora hospital after being wounded by gunfire.

Police say the young man was taken to hospital by his family after allegedly self-injuring himself this evening. The 27-year-old is suspected of shooting himself in the bathroom of his apartment, where the gun was also found.

Police announcement:

Today, at around 20:40, citizen SZ, 27 years old, passed away at the Vlora Regional Hospital, who was accompanied by his family for medical assistance, after allegedly shooting himself in the head with a firearm in his apartment in the "11 Janari" neighborhood, Vlora.

Following the actions, the investigative group found and seized at the scene, specifically in the toilet of his apartment, the weapon suspected of being used by citizen SZ.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to fully clarify and document the incident.
