An arrest warrant has been issued for the director of the Albanian Secret Services, Vlora Hyseni, originally from Kosovo.
The security measure was issued by the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), as part of an investigation into businessman Ergys Agasi, involved in a corruption case related to tenders of the State Agency for Information Systems.
Agassi, who had been on the run for several months, was arrested last August.
The arrest warrant against Hyseni has not been executed, as she is found to be abroad. According to the media, she is suspected of "disclosure of state secrets."
The investigation has also included the former Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, whose apartment was searched and whose phone was seized. No security measures have been imposed on him.
The head of the scientific police laboratory and a criminalist have also been arrested.
There is still no official statement on this matter from the Special Prosecution Office, which has conducted the investigations. (ANSA)
