The President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armando Duka has held today a roundtable with representatives of the Professional Football League and presidents of Albanian clubs on the topic "Sponsorship / Formalization / Development. Albanian football in the face of the challenges of the future ".

During the discussions, changes were again requested in the law on sponsorships, where according to them, it can be a great help for the development of football.

"What we proposed two years ago has not been implemented. The scheme we have proposed is a great help to make football an industry that later produces and returns these investments. "The law of sponsorships or budgets that can be thrown into football are not irrevocable financing or donations, but are investments that football will return if it really creates an industry to produce itself", stressed Duka.

Also, the President of the AFF publicly proposed to the government and the parliament the opening of sports betting and the transfer of a part of the income from this activity in support of sports. According to him, the funds that can be generated from this activity, already invested in Albania, can be turned into an important source of funding for academies, clubs, but also sports infrastructure.

"Apart from the sponsorship law, the second, said by other sports organizations in the country, not only by us, sports betting in Albania is prohibited by law, but in reality sports betting is prohibited only to collect the state budget, but they exist in every part of the country. So let's make a request whether for the law of sponsorships and sports betting, the parliament and the Albanian government to return them and 70% of the income from this activity to go to sports and a major part of football. This is an important source of funding for academies, clubs, but also sports infrastructure. "If you also agree, let us address on behalf of the football community a request to the Albanian government and parliament for legal changes to the law on sponsorships and sports betting and for anything else you think",declared President Duke.

Further, discussions took place as all the club leaders approved the proposals put on the table and it was agreed to draft a draft with concrete legal changes, where anyone can give their ideas and then this draft to sent for consideration to the Albanian government and parliament.
