Dom Gjergj Meta has made an appeal to join tonight in a tribute march in Shengjin, in memory of the 7-year-old girl who tragically lost her life yesterday in Himare.
In a direct link with the news edition of News24, Dom Gjergj Meta said that the march will start at 19:00 from the church of Shengjin and then they will continue along the coast, as he asked that as a sign of homage a flowers and a candle.
He said that there is no need for a speech, but for awareness and reflection, while adding that a problem of our society is that we react after events that shock us and then forget.
" I express my condolences, an event that has affected us all. The event is serious for the circumstances, the age or the context, people when they go on vacation can't stop thinking about where the danger comes from.
These skiffs have always been a problem, complained by many people, however our initiative and initiative tonight in Shengjin, is more of a tribute march from a point to the seashore to remember that little girl to sensitize. In cases where we see abusive situations, report and tell and insist with law enforcement to go to the scene.
Civil consciousness must be raised, that family that came to Albania for vacation, left with a worry and will never want to return to the country.
Today we will do a silent march, there is no need for family, it will consist of signs and symbols, a candle and a flower. There is no need for many things often, the little things are enough. At 19:00 we will leave from the church of Shengjin towards the sea coast, I hope vacationers will also participate here.
Such events must not happen again. We react at the moment when the events that shock us are forgotten after three days, this is a problem of our society. We are somewhat late to the aspects for which we should raise our voices, about eternity, corruption, murders...
I have friends who are vacationing in that area at the moment and they are very shocked" , he said.
