"Partizani" file, Sali Berisha appears in SPAK, militants gather in front of the building

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha appeared this Monday at 10:02 at the Special Prosecution Office, in compliance with the "Compulsory Appearance" security measure imposed by the court.

A group of his supporters have gathered near SPAK, saying they received the news through the media and have come there. MPs from the DP Parliamentary Group are also standing outside the SPAK premises.

This is the second time that Berisha has appeared before SPAK, while for the first time under security measures he went on January 6 after the measure requiring him to appear on January 3, 2025 was reinstated by the Special Appeals Judge, Engert Pëllumbi, after SPAK appealed his release.

The Court of Appeal confirmed the replacement of the security measure from "house arrest" to "obligation to report to the judicial police", however, it warned that if Berisha does not respect this measure, the prosecution may request a more severe security measure.

Berisha is under investigation by SPAK in connection with the issue of the former "Partizani" complex.
