Former national football player, Igli Tare, has been officially named a defendant by SPAK.

The former national team player has been charged with money laundering.

The charges were communicated to him on the morning of this Thursday, June 4, after he appeared before the prosecution following the summons that had been sent to him.

Tare was summoned to the Special Prosecution Office as part of the investigations into former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister Belinda Balluku.

Belinda Balluku was charged with violating inequality in tenders for the Llogara tunnel, while she is also under investigation for the tears of the Great Ring Road.

In parallel, SPAK has also launched a property investigation.
