"El Nino" phenomenon which originates in the waters of the Pacific and occurs once in 4 or 5 years will bring climate changes. Meteorologists clarify that this phenomenon will bring an increase in temperatures.
"It is a phenomenon, a thermal condition that brings an increase in the temperature of the water surface, a change in the surface of the earth and an increase in the average temperature.
Extremely high temperatures, and an increase in the average annual temperature, will be one of the main impacts of the 'El Nino' phenomenon, accompanied by extreme events.
We expect the years 2024-2025 to turn out to be hot years. We have an increase in cyclones and tropical storms, if they are rarer they will be more frequent, bringing rainstorms, even in times and areas that have not been seen before", said forecaster Lajda Porja.
"El Nino" is expected to unbalance the seasons by moving autumn towards winter and the latter towards spring.
"We will have more warm days, more days with high temperatures. If winter is 3 months, only 1 month or so will remain and the rest will be pushed towards spring", said Porja.
According to meteorologists, starting next year, Albania will also be affected by the 'El Nino' phenomenon, causing us to experience extreme weather events with a degree of aggression that we have not seen.
