Details have emerged from the tragic accident in Këlcyre where 8 people, 7 immigrants and the driver of the car from Shkodra, were killed.
The car they were traveling in was rented and was not owned by the driver who lost his life.

At the moment of exiting the road near the Kuqari bend, it is thought to have been at a speed of about 180 km per hour. The vehicle flew in the air about 200 m and then overturned on a steep slope by Vjosa.
The speed of the vehicle continued to be high, pushing it almost another 100 m. The passengers, all foreign nationals, got out of the vehicle at different times and are believed to have died on the spot.
