Police have provided details regarding the arrest of Jozefin Marku and the people who accompanied him at the time they raped Eduart Kuçi.

"To fully document the circumstances of the case and identify the persons involved, the services of the Tirana Local Police Directorate have carried out investigative actions in cooperation with the Lezha Local Police Directorate.

As a result of the actions carried out by the services of the Police Commissariat No. 6, citizens JM, 30 years old, were detained for the criminal offenses of “Illegal deprivation of liberty”, “Intentional slight injury”, “Threat”, “Unlawful possession of uniform” and “Unlawful interference in private life”, as well as KN, 31 years old, who is suspected of having been the driver of the “Land Rover” vehicle, for the criminal offenses of “Supporting the perpetrator of the crime”, “Unlawful possession and production of weapons, bombs or mines and ammunition”, “Illegal deprivation of liberty”, “Intentional slight injury”, “Threat”, “Unlawful possession of uniform” and “Interference in private life”. Meanwhile, citizens AH, 48 years old and KV, 27 years old, were declared wanted.

During the search of the apartment of citizen KN, a quantity of ammunition was found and seized, as well as the "Land Rover" vehicle, suspected of being used in the incident.

These citizens are suspected of having, in collaboration with other citizens, still unidentified, raped citizen EK, 26 years old, claiming that the latter had insulted one of them.

Work is underway to capture the wanted citizens, identify other persons involved in this incident, and bring them to criminal responsibility.

"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
