Details of the serious incident in Pogradec, where the man injured his wife: The

Bleona Xhaja, the 28-year-old woman who was injured by her husband in Pogradec, has been taken by ambulance helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. She has suffered serious stab wounds to the abdomen and arm.

Immediately after receiving first aid in Pogradec, the young woman headed to the capital for specialized treatment.

"Around 1:30 p.m., in neighborhood no. 4, Pogradec, citizen Renato Xhaja, 30 years old, is suspected of having injured his wife, citizen Bleona Xhaja, 28 years old, with a cutting tool (knife) during a conflict in the apartment, who is receiving treatment in hospital," the Police announced.

The 30-year-old has been escorted to the Pogradec Police Station and the investigative group is carrying out procedural actions to clarify the circumstances of the incident and detain citizen Renato Xhaja.

The Xhaja couple lived in Greece and the two young people had come to Pogradec to spend time with their families during the summer season, while the reason that led Renton and Bleona to the knife conflict is still unknown.

According to local media in Pogradec, the 30-year-old is suspected of suffering from mental health problems, but this will be proven by the investigative group because there is no data so far.
