New details are being learned about the murder that occurred this evening in the village of Abat, Shkodra.

The victim is 61-year-old Piro Prroni. The suspected perpetrator of the crime is Ndoc Maçaj, who is still at large.

Macaj is suspected of being Prron's cousin, and the conflict is thought to have started over ownership of a piece of land.

"Around 20:00, in the village of Abat, Shala, citizen NM, under still unclear circumstances, is suspected of having shot and killed citizen PP, 61 years old.

Police services immediately headed to the village of Abat to make it possible to capture the perpetrator.

Meanwhile, a special investigative group has been set up to clarify the circumstances and legally document the event," the Shkodra police announced.
