New details from the kidnapping of the 25-year-old from Kukësi, as he hoped to arrive in Great Britain illegally.

Kukes police informs that the young man is being held hostage in France, by some citizens from Third Countries, who demand a sum of money to release him.

It was the 25-year-old's brother who asked the authorities for help, saying the hostage-takers demanded £24,000 to free him.

So far, the police have arrested two citizens, namely Shpresim Hasanaj , 26 years old, a resident of the village of Muholaj , and  Astrit Elezi , 31 years old, after in cooperation with each other, they helped the 25-year-old illegally cross the border from Kukësi to Belgium and then to France, with the final destination Great Britain.

In cooperation with Interpol and the contact officer in France, work continues to identify and capture other citizens implicated in this case.

They helped a 25-year-old man to illegally cross the border from Kukës to France, with the final destination Great Britain, 2 citizens were arrested.   

The 25-year-old is being held hostage in France by some citizens from Third Countries, who are demanding a sum of money to release him.

The State Police, through Interpol Tirana, is cooperating closely with Interpol Lyon, in France, in order to identify, locate and capture the perpetrators who are holding the 25-year-old hostage.

The services of DVP Kukës, in the direction of the Prosecution, started from the report made by a citizen, that his brother, citizen AS, was taken hostage in France, by citizens who transport immigrants illegally, and that they demanded 24,000 pounds to release him, based on the police intelligence, they have organized for the documentation of this case. 

Following the investigative actions carried out within the "Garanti" operation, the citizens were detained: Sh. H., 26 years old, resident of the village of Muholaj and AE, 31 years old, resident of Kukës, for the offense "Aiding for illegal border crossing", carried out in cooperation.

These two citizens, in cooperation with each other, have helped the citizen AS, 25 years old, resident of Kukës, to illegally cross the border from Kukës to Belgium and then to France, with the final destination Great Britain.

In cooperation with Interpol and the contact officer in France, work continues to identify and capture other citizens implicated in this case.    

The investigative structures of DVP Kukës, in cooperation with the Criminal Police Department and Interpol Tirana, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, are working closely with the French Police and Interpol Lyon, for the identification, localization and capture of the perpetrators, as well as to document whether the 2 citizens arrested in Kukës, who helped the AS citizen to illegally cross the border from Albania to France, did they cooperate or not with the citizens who took the 25-year-old hostage in France.
