In one of the most tense moments that happened today in front of the Parliament between the expelled MPs of the opposition and the police, there was the claim that one of the FNSH officers had pointed a gun at MP Luan Baçi's chest.
In the video, the policeman can be seen moving his right hand in the same position as if he was pulling out a weapon, when in fact he had a spray, as seen in the video, but he did not use it.
In the video, it appears that the policeman instinctively put his hand on his hip, while MP Luan Baçi went too far and declared that the officer put the gun to his chest.
The police came out with an official announcement where they said that none of their officers in the assembly were armed.
"Based on the Law "On Assemblies", the police officers, committed to the successful conduct of the assembly, no police officer was equipped with firearms during the assembly, but only with protective equipment and rubber batons. We deny the news that police officers, in the rally, took out firearms from the rallyers," the police announcement states.
