DASH tightens visa measures - Announcement from the US Embassy in Tirana:

The US State Department announced today that it is significantly expanding its policy regarding visa measures against those "working on behalf of US adversaries to undermine" the country's interests in the Western Hemisphere.

This news was also conveyed and communicated by the Embassy of the United States of America, through a post that reads: "The State Department is tightening visa measures for persons who "work on behalf of adversaries of the United States.""

Based on the reporting by Times.com , the State Department also stated that it has "taken steps" to impose restrictions on 26 individuals as part of the expansion, but the list of these individuals has not been made public, nor is there information about their activity.

But essentially this policy is making individuals and family members ineligible to enter the country.

“Activities that could justify the restriction, according to the notice, include, but are not limited to: “enabling adversary powers to acquire or control key assets and strategic resources in our hemisphere; destabilizing regional security efforts; undermining American economic interests; and conducting influence operations designed to undermine the sovereignty and stability of nations in our region,” the Times reports.

President Donald Trump has embraced the term "Donroe Doctrine," a contemporary reinterpretation of an 1823 foreign policy vision by former President James Monroe that focuses on U.S. dominance in the Western Hemisphere.

The announcement made by the US State Department cites the Trump Administration's authority, based on the Immigration and Nationality Act, which states that the entry of foreign nationals may be restricted if the Secretary of State has reason to believe that "there will be potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences" for the US.

Since his return to the White House, the President has implemented a harsh anti-immigrant agenda.
