Yesterday, our country was hit by the storm 'Ciaran' which has already hit most of Europe, causing numerous damages and casualties.
The same situation with wind storms accompanied by rain showers and thunderstorms is expected to continue during today as well, according to the announcement made by SHMU yesterday.
"For the weekend ahead, our country will be affected by mainly unstable atmospheric conditions as a result of the periphery of a strong storm that has not only covered our country but also a large part of Europe. In this way, for Saturday from the first hours of the 24-hour until noon, the weather is predicted with dense clouds and continuous rain and low and mostly moderate intensity in the form of thunderstorms", the SHMU announced yesterday.
Meanwhile, air temperatures will drop significantly in both extreme daily values, fluctuating from 5°C minimum to 20°C maximum in the country.
The state police has been put on alert throughout the country to manage the situation while identifying the areas with the highest risk: Tirana, Lezha, Fushë Krujë, Durrës and Elbasan.
