The wife of Majlind Habibi, the 35-year-old man suspected of committing the murder of Branko Shkoza a week ago in Durrës, declares that her husband is innocent.
In an interview with "Albania Live", Majlind Habibi's wife claims that her husband's statement that she was harassed by the victim is not true, and that he may have been intimidated into giving that statement to the police.
She says she had no communication with the victim, while her husband was friends with Shkoza and the two drank together.
" The situation is not good. The boy is not psychologically well either. He is looking for his father, mom, where is his father, is he in prison or has he escaped. I told him that he has fled to Greece. He often scares me at night. I need to send my son to a psychologist. When I see my son, I forget myself. It was a big bombshell, I could expect many things in life, even death, but not this."
He was very close to the one who died and they had no conflicts as far as I know. He didn't tell me about arguments or conflicts. They went out together, the one who died wasn't a bad person. The bad thing about him was that he drank. The only thing that brought them together was drinking.
Majlindi also drank, but not in that state. The victim slept on the streets from drinking. Branko was bad to himself, he didn't harass anyone, not even me. He never harassed me nor did he have any kind of contact with him. He didn't talk to me on the street and I didn't talk to him. I don't know if he made this statement. Majlindi told me you told the police that he harassed you, no I told him, the police told me that you told me that he harassed me. He didn't confirm that he told me. He simply asked me if you told him or not. I haven't noticed any strange behavior from my husband.
Majlindi didn't drink every day, but on Sundays he did. In recent days, he was just at work and at home. On the 2nd, Majlindi didn't go out that night, and the work cameras confirm that he was at work. I also have messages on his phone that he was coming home. He was shaking that night when he declared himself to the police. Majlindi told me that they had pressured him, I'm not saying that.
As for the accusations, if I knew the incident, I would have declared it. I am confident that he did not commit the murder. I feel threatened, more so for the boy. At the time these things happened, I was pregnant, and I lost him spontaneously , "she stated./ Tch
