Foreign media claim that hackers have managed to discover the DNA of Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, whose life is shrouded in mystery and conspiracies.
The news comes just days after it was revealed that Putin is so careful about protecting his DNA that on trips abroad, his entourage collects his feces in bags and takes them with them.
But according to the German newspaper BILD , we may now have an idea of which paternal line Putin belongs to, and the results are surprising if they were confirmed as true.
According to the report, hackers allegedly hacked Mikhail Putin's computer on behalf of a government agency. Mikhail is the Russian president's second cousin. Vladimir Putin's grandparents are his great-grandparents.
So the two have a genetic similarity of 6.25 percent. And Mikhail and Vladimir both carry the same male haplogroup Y, as they share a common ancestor on the paternal line. That is, they have the same mutation on their Y chromosome.
But what did the hackers find on the computer? The short answer is Vladimir Putin's "nightmare." Mikhail underwent a genetic test by the leading Russian company "Genotek" in December 2022. He finally received the results in February 2023.
The genetic test, which was apparently leaked to the newspaper Bild, reportedly shows that Vladimir Putin, like all male Putins, is a member of haplogroup E-V13, which is rare in Russia.
This gene originated in present-day Kosovo, where over 30 percent of the population carries it. Across the Balkans, the proportion is around 15 percent, and in Russia, less than five percent.
E-V13 is found predominantly among Albanians in Albania and Kosovo, according to some reports ranging from 25% in Albania to 35 and in some cases even 40% in Kosovo!
Hitler had the same genetic lineage as Vladimir Putin
Hackers also report that Putin's nephew is particularly prone to paranoia. It remains unclear whether this also applies to his uncle.
And it's also worth noting that the Daily Mail reported in 2010 that Adolf Hitler was also a member of the rare haplogroup E-V13.
