Sali Berisha in the extraordinary conference from the blue headquarters has denied the accusations brought against him by the highest institution of justice in the country. Berisha has considered justice as "captured" by the government and accuses that the accusations against him are orchestrated by his rival, Edi Rama.
"Edi Rama, after successfully robbing the Albanian vote and eliminating political pluralism in the parliament, after being branded by the citizens of Kosovo as Vucic's brother, by the opposition as the Argat of Belgrade, by the world as the Albanian Pashici, and after the beginning of the movement opposition without return yesterday in the parliament of Albania, he ordered his mercenary prosecutors, publicly denounced in this hall, for hiding documents, for manipulating files, for collaboration with crime and gangs, to issue orders contrary to the Constitution, Article 73 of of it, which determines that the freedom of the deputy in any form, movement, cannot be violated without the approval of the parliament. But, being the author of such a proposal in 2012, for this article to be removed, I fully accept the challenge", said Berisha first.
Berisha underlines that he will not back down even in the face of this challenge and adds that it is only a matter of an accusation with a political background, in which the arrest of his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, is also implicated. Regarding the latter, he said that he was never summoned by either a prosecutor or a judge. He underlines that SPAK has been investigating the privatization of the "Partizani" complex for three years, but they have not been able to find anything that could involve him or his son-in-law in a corrupt affair.
The former prime minister emphasized that today more than ever he has the support of his voters and no accusation will stop him in front of what he refers to as Prime Minister Rama's regime.
"So, not even my restriction to move in Albania, I am a member of parliament and I have to meet with the voters, who today feel more like Sali Berishë than ever. Even my restriction to move to Europe could never happen without the approval of parliamentary committees. But in the country where the prosecution is just a section of the SP, any decision can be made", said Sali Berisha, among other things.
"These measures and any other measures, of a strictly political character, only multiply the motivation of Sali Berisha, his associates and hundreds and thousands of members and sympathizers in their battle without return that started two days ago in the Albanian parliament. In the battle against Edi Rama's regime, I feel no less motivated than 32 years ago, at the time of the battle against his cruel fathers.
And soon, Sali Berisha, the Albanian opposition, its supporters, will reserve for Edi Rama, the fate of his executioner fathers", said Berisha.
