The Municipality of Tirana has decided to extend the deadline for citizens to apply for soft loans, following the announcement of the "e-Albania" portal that will be out of service on May 15-18.

At today's municipal council meeting, the acting mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, stated that for this reason, applications for soft loans will be open until May 22, from May 19, which was originally scheduled.

"As you are aware, the Municipality of Tirana has started the application process for soft loans for 2026. The process started on April 20 and is expected to last until May 19. Applications are made online through the 'e-Albania' portal. To date, 2,600 applications have been made. However, according to an announcement by the 'e-Albania' portal and the problems it has had, all the days that will be impossible to operate that were announced from May 15-18 will be replaced and the new deadline for the moment is May 22," Ristani declared.

Ristani also underlined that if there are other needs for extension of the deadline, they will be addressed, so that no citizen is left out of the soft loan program due to technical problems.

"But if there are other needs for extending the deadline, they will be addressed. This is to say that no citizen who tries to become part of this program will be hindered by these technical problems and will be compensated with the appropriate time for each day that E Albania will not function," emphasized Ristani.
