In an official request addressed to all members of the High Prosecutorial Council, Erion Veliaj claims that his request for the determination of the absolute invalidity of the decree appointing prosecutor Ols Dado and for the termination of his status as a magistrate has never been reviewed by the High Prosecutorial Council as a collegial body.
According to the request, from the documentation administered to the Administrative Court, it results that only the vice-president of the KLP, Erind Gërmenji , acted on this issue, who signed a letter stating that " the KLP reviewed the request ", while, according to the plaintiff, there does not appear to have been a meeting, review or collegial decision-making of the Council.
Veliaj asks individual members of the KLP to declare whether they were aware of this fact, raising a strong institutional debate on the manner of exercising powers within the constitutional body that administers the status of prosecutors.
